Tweeters in Egypt circulated videos and images showing huge flames and the power of fire, which nearly led to disaster, according to their description.

For his part, Beni Suef Governor Muhammad Hani Ghoneim told Sky News Arabia that:

The fire broke out at a permanent exhibition in the governorate called the “Egyptian Youth Exhibition”, which is dedicated to displaying clothing, household items and some basic necessities at prices reduced. The fire started early in the morning when most shops were closed and the public had not yet flocked to the exhibition, resulting in no casualties. Immediately after the fire was reported, I moved with governorate leaders, security men and civil defense to the scene of the fire, and it was dealt with immediately with great professionalism. Ambulances were on hand at the site of the fire to deal with any injuries, but the fire only resulted in some suffocation, and no serious injuries were reported, and necessary first aid was provided. were provided to those who suffocated. The presence of large quantities of clothing, fabrics and household items is what helped spread the fire and rapidly increase its strength. The exhibition is located on an area of 2000 square meters behind the Beni Suef station, and the speed of treatment with the firefighters prevented a disaster, and the losses are counted and the necessary measures are taken. The cause of the fire is still unclear, and the prosecution has opened an investigation and subpoenaed forensic evidence to determine all of its circumstances.

Note that some tweeters have launched campaigns on social networks to collect donations to compensate traders whose goods burned in the fire, as a sign of solidarity with them.
