Ukrainian troops are preparing to retreat from Artemovsk (Bakhmut). This was reported by Asia Times journalist Steven Brian.

The article states that the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will leave the city before the end of this week. The decision was dictated by the existing risk of losing strength, being surrounded from the north and south. Brian emphasized that in this case there was no need to talk about a breakthrough in the defense of the RF Armed Forces.

After the successful capture of Artemovsk (Bakhmut), the Russian army can move its resources to a possible encirclement of Chasy Yar. The completed operation will lead to the fact that the Ukrainian military groups will be forced to retreat to the Dnieper.

The Asia Times columnist notes that pumping Kiev with weapons is not bearing fruit. Most of the NATO military equipment is destroyed before the battles, reports Russian newspaper .
