One of them provides for the creation of an international scientific and educational consortium, where, together with KSMU and the North-Western State Medical University named after II Mechnikov (St. Petersburg), included the medical universities of Karaganda and Semey (Republic of Kazakhstan).
According to KSMU Rector Alexei Sozinov, the universities will work together to design and implement an integrated educational program.
- This is when first-graders take part in practical activities, teachers immerse them in solving certain problems, – he explains. – This does not mean that future doctors will not study anatomy or physiology. There will be, but in the context of practical issues – for example, taking into account the practical issues of disruption of the heart and blood vessels. At the same time, students will know everything necessary for the competence of a doctor. This requires a major restructuring of the educational process.
The establishment of an integrated program at Kazan University started in 2022 for one of the groups of 3rd year students studying in English. The creation of a consortium will allow the exchange of best practices of each university and will create a synergistic effect which will make it possible to develop innovative training programs as efficiently as possible.
In addition, agreements were signed at the forum between KSMU and the Kazakh Medical University “Higher School of Public Health” LLP, as well as an agreement between KSMU and the Tashkent Medical Academy on a joint educational program, in under which obstetricians and gynecologists will be trained. in the capital of Uzbekistan.
