New Delhi. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday filed a charge sheet against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in the Pul Bangash case related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The officers provided this information.

The case pertains to the burning of a gurdwara in Pul Bangash area on November 1, 1984, a day after the assassination of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, and the killing of three people. The CBI filed its charges before a special court here. The letter states that Tytler “incited and incited a crowd gathered at Pul Bangash Gurdwara Azad Market” on November 1, 1984, which resulted in the burning of the Gurdwara and the killing of three Sikhs, Thakur Singh, Badal Singh and Guru Charan Singh. was given.

Officials said the agency has charged Tytler under sections 147 (rioting), 109 (abetment) and 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). They said the court will consider the charges on June 2.
