On May 21, Moscow will host the traditional Spring Cycling Festival – a combination of sports, culture and an active lifestyle. This festival aims to promote the advantages of cycling as a mode of transport.
At 12:00 p.m. – gathering of participants of the bicycle festival on Akademika Sakharov Avenue, at 1:00 p.m. – departure of a bicycle ride along the Garden Ring, which will be closed for the duration of the sporting event. The length of the route is 16 km.
According to the decision of the TsPPK and MTPPC, on commuter trains in all suburban directions on May 20 and 21, bicycle transport will be free, the Moscow Transport Ministry said.
On the MCD and the Aéroexpress, the free transport of bicycles is always valid.
As a reminder, according to the rules, a passenger can carry a bicycle, and the bicycle must be placed on special stands in the main cars or in the vestibule, on Aeroexpress trains – only in the vestibule.
