Among the most important provisions of the agreement signed between the two parties are the facilitation of the delivery of emergency humanitarian aid, the restoration of basic services and the creation of a committee to monitor and coordinate ceasefire and aid.
Jeddah city sees proxy talks between Sudanese army envoys and Saudi-US-sponsored Rapid Support Forces discussing ceasefire, extending armistice and opening humanitarian corridors in Sudan.
Sudan has been in turmoil since fighting erupted between the army and the Rapid Support Forces in mid-April.
