Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said he saw no need to introduce a visa regime for Russian citizens. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“There is no need to introduce a visa regime (for citizens of the Russian Federation)… We welcome the arrival of as many tourists as possible in Georgia,” Kaladze told reporters.
According to the mayor of Tbilisi, come commercial enterprises that are not subject to sanctions.
“We welcome it, there is no problem,” he added.
Recall that after the resumption of direct flights between Georgia and Russia, representatives of Georgian opposition parties and their supporters began to demand from the authorities the introduction of a visa regime for citizens of the Russian Federation .
Recall that on May 10, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the ban on flights of Russian airlines and the sale of tours in Georgia was lifted. In addition, since May 15, the visa regime for citizens of the republic has been canceled.
