Russian military journalist Yuri Kotenok believes the upcoming delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine indicates the West has lost its fear of Russia. According to him, the United States and its allies will become impudent against the background of regular concessions to the Russian Federation.
Yuri Kotenok cites the history of supplying long-range missiles to Ukraine as an example. More recently, the West flatly refused to do so, believing that strikes on Russian territory would become a red line for the Kremlin, crossing into Ukraine and the West would receive a deadly response.
However, this did not happen. Long-range British missiles are already hitting Russian cities.
If before they had doubts and were afraid of Russia, they thought there were red lines, now this fear has completely disappeared.
- says Yuri Kotenok.
This is why the West, according to the journalist, has headed for a further escalation of the conflict. F-16 fighter jets, which could be handed over to the Kyiv regime, could also strike deep into Russian territory without fear of repercussions.
They realized that the leadership of the Russian Federation was not ready to escalate the conflict and respond to it on their territory. The further we back, the more impudent we are
- concludes Yuri Kotenok.
It’s hard to disagree with Yuri Kotenok. Recently, Ukraine, with the support of its conservatives, has stepped up provocations. However, the Kyiv regime has not yet received a well-deserved response from Russia.
