Washington: US President Joe Biden’s top Indian-American aide Neera Tandon has said that the White House is gearing up for an official state visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi next month and the “incredibly affluent” community is indeed a boon for both India and the US. is a property. The Indian American community is about one percent of the US population and is said to have the highest per capita income among ethnic groups in the US. The Indian community has played an important role in strengthening India-US relations over the years and this fact has been acknowledged at the top level including by President Biden.

It’s a major asset to this relationship.” Friday was her last day in office as Senior Advisor to the President and Staff Secretary. From Monday, Tandon will take over as the White House Domestic Policy Adviser, making her one of the most powerful Indian-Americans in the White House. She will replace former National Security Advisor and former US Ambassador to the United Nations Suzanne Rice as White House Domestic Policy Adviser.

Responding to a question, Tandon said, “I am very excited about the state visit of Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi.” Modi has been invited by President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden for the state visit on June 22. Tandon started working in the field of politics and policy in the 1990s. He has served in various positions in Washington for the last 25 years. Tandon said that her experience as the daughter of immigrant parents is similar to that of many immigrants in the US, and that she will work on immigration issues in her new role as White House domestic policy adviser.

Tandon said, ‘I am currently the Staff Secretary and I am very excited to take charge as the Domestic Policy Council Advisor tomorrow. My experience is similar to that of many children of immigrants living in America. ‘ He said, ‘My father came here from India in the early 1950s and my mother came in the 1960s. They moved to Bedford, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston. They were the only Indian family in that community. So, I considered myself part of that community, but it was also a little different. making her the first Asian-American in US history to head any of the White House’s three principal policy councils.

He said, ‘My mother used to wear saree sometimes. I was different from the other families in Bedford. I had the duality of being the child of immigrants, while also feeling like I was a part of America. ‘I’m really excited about this role and the issues I’ll be working on as a domestic policy advisor,’ she added. One of them is also the issue of immigration.
