ISRO’s HB Space on Wheels exhibition at Eklavya Adarsh Residential School
Bhopal. Mobile Bus ‘Space on Wheels’ of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) reached Eklavya Adarsh Residential School (EMRS) at Bawadia Kalan on Friday. This bus introduced the general public including all the students to ISRO’s achievements and techniques. It featured various models and exhibits including India’s space programs like Mangalyaan and Chandrayaan.
Tribal students will learn about ISRO and space science
Meenakshi Singh, Deputy Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department inaugurated the exhibition. He informed that the Tribal Affairs Department is taking the leadership of MAPCAST to organize this ISRO bus exhibition throughout the year in departmental hostels and ashrams including Eklavya Adarsh Residential School, Tribal CM Rise School, Girls Education Complex, MAPSET Center and Adarsh Residential School across the state. And is working on a joint plan with Vigyan Prasar Department.
School Principal Dr. Yashpal Singh said that this exhibition will develop interest in space science among tribal students and they will be able to see the glorious history of ISRO from close quarters. Ashutosh Srivastava, Education Advisor of the department was also present on this occasion.
Will take space science to the masses
This bus is being operated by the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MAPCAST) through ISRO. Vikas Shende, Head of Science and Technology Department of Mapcast, said that the objective of this event is to spread public awareness about ISRO’s achievements and space science in every district of the state. Children can contribute in bringing awareness to the Indian Space Programme.
Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan seen in ISRO’s bus
Display models of different space missions of ISRO have been installed in this bus. There are models of many missions including Navigation with Indian Constellation, Indian Remote Sensing Application, Indian Satellite Communication Application, Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan. Along with this, various short films related to ISRO and Indian Space Science are also screened.

Vehicles launched by ISRO, models of ISRO programs Gaganyaan, Chandrayaan along with ‘Navik’ and ‘Bhuvan’ satellites were also seen in this bus. With this, tribal children will be able to know how ISRO works.
