MP: Tiger Kishan, who was injured in a mutual conflict in Nauradehi Sanctuary, died

– Published on:

Bhopal. Kishan (N-2), the first tiger of Nauradehi Sanctuary, known as King of Nauradehi, died. Kishan was badly injured in his fight with Tiger N-3 three days back. He had a deep wound in his eye and jaw. He was being treated after being injured, meanwhile the patrolling team found his body in the forest on Saturday.

DFO Mahendra Singh told that after Kishan’s death all the officers had reached the forest. A team of forest doctors from Jabalpur’s Veterinary College conducted the post-mortem and after that the tiger was cremated in the forest itself. The real reason for the tiger’s death will be known only after the post mortem report comes. Well prima facie it seems to be a fight between Kishan N2 and N3. He told that this is the first time in the last six years, when there was a fight between tigers in Nauradehi Sanctuary.

The team from Panna treated the tiger

It is noteworthy that as soon as the events of the conflict between Bagh Kishan N-2 and N-3 came to the fore, the Forest Department team had called a team of doctors from Panna Tiger Reserve. Dr. Sanjay Gupta, who came from Panna Tiger Reserve, with the help of Team Hathi, had found and treated N-2 tiger Kishan. Tiger Kishan had wounds on his jaw and face. Whereas after the fight, Tiger N-3 had gone into the dense forest. Which has not come to the fore yet. Teams are searching for Tiger N-3 in the jungle. If he is injured then he can be treated.

Kishan was the first tiger of the sanctuary

In 2018, tiger Kishan and tigress Radha were shifted to Nauradehi Sanctuary. According to the department, the number of tigers in Nauradehi after Kishan’s death is 14. All these tigers are young. Bagh Kishan was 12 years old. Tigress Radha has given birth to cubs twice in 2019 and 2021. At present, the movement of all the tigers in the sanctuary is in the Nauradehi, Singpur and Jhapan range from Bamner river to Rampura Ghat, Chikna Nala, Kalua Nala, Chhota Peepla, Vijni and Singapuri area in an area of 7 km. A tiger needs a large area to make its territory.

In this regard, Chief Forest Conservator AK Singh says that Kishan’s body has been found in the forest. In preliminary investigation, there was a fight between the deceased tiger Kishan and the tiger N-3 from outside a few days ago over the territory. Bagh Kishan was seriously injured in this fight. There is a possibility of death of Kishan due to serious injuries.
