The main events were the BRICS Women’s Leadership Forum 2023 and the Women’s Innovation Contest award ceremony.

The organizers were the China Committee for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Chamber of International Commerce. From Russia, the delegates to the Forum this year are the head of the delegation, the representative of Russia in the Alliance of Businesswomen BRICS, the founder and chairman of the board of directors of Global Rus Trade, a member of the public council under the Moscow Business Ombudsman Anna Nesterova, Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights in Moscow Tatyana Mineeva, a member of the Russian club “ForbesWoman”, the chairwoman of the board of directors of the NGO “Union of Women’s Forces”, Public Commissioner for Women’s Entrepreneurship Inga Legasova and others.

The competition is an initiative of the Chinese head of state, highlighted at the BRICS 2020 summit and endorsed by the heads of the other four out of five states. Thus, the achievements of outstanding businesswomen from BRICS countries who have devoted themselves to solving social and economic problems in various fields are celebrated. In addition, representatives of leading companies exchange innovative solutions and experiences here.

As part of the Forum, a presentation of the final report with a resolution and 2 round tables were planned. And a few days before the event, meetings of senior officials, business leaders from the “five” countries, representatives of international organizations, professional associations, diplomats from the BRICS countries and high-level businesswomen level were held in different cities in China.

At the Forum’s opening ceremony, like-minded women were welcomed by BRICS Women’s Business Alliance China Branch Head Zhao Haiying and South Africa Branch Head Lebogang Zulu.

Anna Nesterova gave a welcome speech to those present, emphasizing the special role and status of these meetings for each of the delegates, after which the Russians presented locally produced gifts to the leaders of the alliance of the five countries.

During the trip, the participants of the Forum attended 2 round tables (on women’s leadership in state-owned enterprises and corporate governance and leadership in digital transformation), met with representatives of the All-China Federation of women and visited the ALIBABA GROUP office.

“A number of work events in the city of Hangzhou ended with a round of 2b2 format negotiations and the signing of agreements. We thank the host country and the organizing committee of the trip for the opportunity to delve into the advanced cases of our foreign colleagues, to get even closer to the BRICS format, and we are sure that the strengthening of cooperation in the field of women’s entrepreneurship within the framework of the union’s Women’s Business Alliance will not be long, ”concluded Tatiana Mineeva.
