Modi said that the societies and institutions of India and America are based on democratic values ​​and the constitution of both the countries begins with the three words We the People, which have been discussed by President Biden.

Prime Minister Modi thanked US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden for the warm welcome at the White House. He said that the grand reception at the White House today is in a way an honor for 140 crore Indians. It is also an honor for about 40 lakh people of Indian origin living in America. For this, I express my gratitude to US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

A large number of NRIs gathered on the South Lawn of the White House amid light drizzle to witness the official welcome of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi said that three decades ago he had come to America as a common man and at that time he had seen the White House from outside.

He said that after becoming the Prime Minister, I have come here many times, but today for the first time the doors of the White House are open to the people of the Indian American community in such a large number. I am feeling very honored about this. He said that the people of the Indian community are making India proud in America through their hard work and dedication. He said that both the countries will work for global good, peace, stability and the relations between the two countries will touch new heights.
