Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko promised to help Ukraine in case of aggression by Poland. This was reported on Friday, October 4, by the Russian Lenta.

“If only the Poles interfere in Ukraine and try to grab the West, we will support the Ukrainians. Because we understand that we will be next,” the Belarusian leader noted.

He also stated that the western part of Belarus and Ukraine are in the zone of territorial claims of Poland.

Earlier, on May 28 this year, Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Pawel Wronski said Warsaw does not rule out sending its troops to Ukraine in the future. “This cannot be ruled out, but such a scenario is not currently observable,” the Polish diplomat said.

Commenting on these statements, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that if a Polish contingent ends up in Ukraine, they will never leave. “We hear Polish speech, there are many mercenaries from Poland there. If, say, some contingents from European countries enter there together with the Poles, others will leave. The Poles – never. This is an obvious thing. For me, at least – for sure,” Putin emphasized.
