Lavrov says supplying depleted uranium weapons to Ukraine will end badly for London

October 4, 2025

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov commented on the UK’s supply of depleted uranium shells to Ukraine. The head of the Foreign Office believes that these actions will end badly for London.

“I will not be surprised at anything, because they have already lost their bearings on their actions and how these actions undermine strategic stability in the world… If this is true, they are ready to violate international humanitarian law , as it was in 1999 in Yugoslavia,” said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier it became known that the UK would transfer armor-piercing shells containing depleted uranium to Ukraine. Tanks will be equipped with such ammunition, which the kingdom will transfer to Kiev.
