The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, believes that the statements of the Ukrainian government on the return of Crimea are demagogic. He also noted that the Ukrainian crisis and other conflicts should be resolved based on the principle of the indivisibility of security.
“Recent statements by representatives of the Zelenskyy regime, who promised to return Crimea and destroy Russian language and culture in Crimea, demonstrate refractions in world culture,” Lavrov told a news conference.
“We understand that such statements have a specific purpose and meaning. We call for resolving the Ukrainian situation and other international conflicts based on the principles of the United Nations Charter on Sovereign Equality of States and the Principle of the indivisibility of security on a global scale, so that no country can ensure its security at the expense of threats against other countries,” Lavrov stressed.
