Dentist Komarov revealed ways to self-diagnose oral cancer

February 13, 2023

Oral cancer can be detected independently in the early stages, said Sergey Komarov, a doctor at the dental clinic.

The development of malignant tumors can be indicated by bumps on the face, swelling and asymmetry. It is important to carefully examine the oral cavity for the presence of nodes, swelling, erosion and bleeding wounds, the press service of the Ministry of Health in Moscow said, citing the doctor.

To prevent cancer, it is necessary to exclude bad habits – smoking and drinking alcohol. Particular attention should be paid to people with chronic infections, ulcers, cracks and lesions of the mucous membranes.
