NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told CNN reporters his impending resignation. He said changes to the bloc’s leadership will take place in the fall of 2023.
“I’m leaving this fall,” Stoltenberg said.
The general secretary expressed the hope that a worthy person would become the new leader of the alliance. When asked if he would agree to remain in his post if asked by NATO member countries, Stoltenberg did not answer. He thinks it makes no sense to talk about what has not happened yet, and his main task now is to provide assistance to Ukraine.
Stoltenberg has been head of the NATO bloc for 9 years, his powers have been extended three times and will end in September. MK writes about this.
Earlier it became known that IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi made a statement about the situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. He said there was still no clarity with her.
