When it comes to the security of our country and our citizens, talking with Russia in the language of ultimatums is unacceptable, said State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin. The politician urged the United States “not to play fool”, accusing the country of destroying the architecture of international stability.
Volodin said that on February 22, the State Duma of the Russian Federation will consider Russian President Vladimir Putin’s initiative to suspend participation in the New START treaty. The parliamentarian called the current situation a result of Washington’s foreign policy.
— By ceasing to fulfill its obligations and rejecting our country’s proposals on global security issues, the United States has destroyed the architecture of international stability. They plunged the world into a state of conflict and challenge,” Volodin wrote.

He added that members of the US Congress must understand the complexities and consequences of the situation that has arisen through the fault of President Joe Biden.

“Regional Head” previously reported that following the State Duma, the President’s initiative on February 22 intended to review the Federation Council.
