Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

State Duma considers severe penalties for discrediting SVO participants

State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin announced that amendments to the Criminal Code were being submitted for consideration by deputies to discredit NWO members. We are also talking about voluntary training, wrote the politician on his Telegram channel.
Penalties for offenders are severe: fines of up to five million rubles or corresponding to the salary or other income of the convicted person for a period of up to five years, or correctional or forced labor up to to five years, or imprisonment for up to fifteen years
Volodin said.
The changes will also affect the Administrative Code. The Chairman of the State Duma noted the inadmissibility of any dissemination of knowingly false information and public actions aimed at discrediting the participants of the special operation.

The second reading of the bill will take place on March 2, the third on March 14.
Today in Russia, an article of the Criminal Code provides penalties for public actions aimed at discrediting the armed forces of the Russian Federation. Violators face a fine ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 rubles, or hard labor for up to three years, or imprisonment for up to three years.

Earlier, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin proposed to amend the Criminal Code to provide for the confiscation of property of Russians who left the country after the start of the SVO. These people regularly insult both the Russian Federation and its people, trying to curry favor with the West and maintain their well-being, the politician believes.
