“We think not.” Kremlin responds to Podolyak’s statement on non-involvement in drone attacks on Russia

The Kremlin does not believe the words of adviser to the head of the Ukrainian President’s office Mikhail Podolyak that Kiev is not involved in drone attacks on Russia. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, his words transmits telegram channel of the radio station “Mayak”.

“We don’t believe it,” Peskov said.

Earlier on March 1, Podolyak tweeted that “Ukraine is not striking Russian territory”, but “waging a defensive war with the aim of disoccupying all its territories”. He described as “internal” attacks by “unidentified flying objects” against Russian infrastructure.
The day before, on February 28, there was a drone attack on Russian territory – in particular in the Moscow region, Belgorod, Tuapse, as well as in the village of Novy in Adygea. On the same day, the sky above St. Petersburg was closed in the morning. The media wrote that it could be due to the detection of an unidentified object in the sky, but the Ministry of Defense explained the closure of the sky by air defense training “on the interaction with civil air control “.
Commenting on the incidents with drones in the Krasnodar Territory and Adygea, the Ministry of Defense said that Ukraine was involved in the launching of drones, which were aimed at attacking civilian infrastructure with their help. The Russian investigative commission has also said that attempts to use drones against civil and engineering infrastructure in the Moscow region, Adygea and Kuban were made by Ukraine.
