How border regions tightened security measures after sabotage in the Bryansk region


As a result of an attack by Ukrainian sabotage reconnaissance groups on the village of Lyubechane in the Bryansk region, two people were killed, one – a 10-year-old boy – was injured. RTVI tells what measures the regional authorities took after this incident.
In the Bryansk region, despite what happened, they did not announce a change in the level of response and terrorist threat. Moreover, no changes or introduction of security measures were reported in the Belgorod region.
In the Kursk region, security measures will be strengthened, “taking into account the difficult situation in the border settlements”, said Regional Governor Anastasia Gurina’s RTVI press officer. For several months, a “yellow” – medium – terrorist danger level has been introduced into the region, therefore the protection of public order has been reinforced and special control is in place in the survival facilities.
Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev following a meeting with leaders of the ruling bloc writing in his Telegram channel that “everything is calm in the region”, he however promised to convene an operational headquarters in the near future to discuss the additional security measures to be taken.
Head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov declared that all necessary measures are taken on the peninsula and that the security forces are ready to neutralize the threats.
Governor of the Tula region Alexey Dyumin educated strengthen security measures, if necessary, provide vital facilities with additional protection, as well as develop support measures for members of the voluntary People’s Guards.
Governor of the Voronezh region Alexander Gusev banned use drones in the area. Exceptions will be drones used by authorities, companies and organizations in the fuel and energy sector and the utility sector. The restrictions will remain in place until the abolition in the region of the mid-level response regime introduced on October 19, 2022.
Head of the Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko educated strengthen the protection of public order and vital facilities, including education, health, energy and transport infrastructure.
