mil.ru | Ministry of Defense of the Russian FederationThe socialization of veterans in society should be the main aspect of the fund to help participants of the special operation in Ukraine, military expert Vladimir Orlov is convinced. In a conversation with a journalist “Political Russia” the analyst noted that fighters should be socialized by people with experience in this area.Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a proposal to establish a special state fund to provide assistance to families of fallen soldiers and veterans of a special military operation. Soon, within the framework of the round table of the Institute of Social Research Experts, the Governor of the Novgorod region, Andrey Nikitin, announced that a database containing information on the needs of all fighters and of their families would be created as part of the fund to assist SVO participants. In this regard, military analyst Orlov noted that the idea of creating a database is not new, and therefore there is a risk of reducing the work of the fund to ordinary social services. Speaking about the activities of the state fund, Orlov noted that the process of socialization of veterans, as well as the transfer of necessary medical care to the disabled, is an important issue here.“There will be a lot of people coming back disabled. And the question of socialization in society of these people is very important. It’s one thing to give away the cheapest dentures, they’ll say, “We helped you, keep figuring it out the way you want.” They gave me 100,000 rubles each for a cheap prosthesis, that’s all help. And for the socialization of an injured person, so that he becomes a full member of society, high-tech prostheses are needed, which cost several million rubles. Therefore, will such support measures be envisaged within the framework of the activities of this fund? – said military analyst and expert of the Center for Military-Political Journalism Vladimir Orlov. He expressed the hope that the organizers of the fund will indeed provide assistance to veterans and not just stop at imitation of their violent activities.
