On March 6, the Orthodox Church honors the memory of the monk Timothy, who lived in the desert of Asia Minor in the 8th century. Even in his youth, he made it a rule never to look at a woman’s face – and all his life he was true to his vow. Timothy had the gift of healing and could drive away evil spirits.
