The lawyer of journalist Ivan Safronov convicted of high treason was not allowed to enter Georgia. This was motivated by “other reasons”, according to “MK”.
Lawyer Dmitry Kachev was not allowed to cross the Georgian border. His wife and daughter, with whom the lawyer followed the country on vacation, arrived there without incident. Kachev represents the interests of Ivan Safronov, a former journalist and adviser to the head of Roscosmos, convicted in a treason case.
It is reported that the lawyer flew to Tbilisi from Moscow via the Armenian capital. When he left Russia, his passport data was copied and he was given the green light to land. However, already on the border with Georgia, he was deployed for “other reasons”.
Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that the former special correspondent of Kommersant and Vedomosti, adviser to the head of Roscosmos, Ivan Safronov, was found guilty of collaborating with the intelligence agencies of the Czech Republic and Germany. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison.
