The Novgorod region on March 6-7 expects a small snowfall

The beginning of spring in the Novgorod region promises snowfall. The Regional Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring has published weather forecasts for the coming days on its website. On March 6 and 7 in the afternoon, light snow is expected in most parts of the region.

The air temperature in Veliky Novgorod will drop to -8 degrees Celsius at night. The coldest night will be in Malaya Vishera. Here the temperature will reach -11 degrees. During the day, the air will not be colder than -4 degrees. The wind should be blowing from the southwest. Its bursts will reach three to eight meters per second. Atmospheric pressure will not change significantly.

The forecast for March 7 promises light snow in most parts of the region, as well as a slight cooling. The air temperature at night will be from -7 to -12 degrees, and during the day from 0 to -5 degrees. The wind will be southwest.

Earlier, MK in Veliky Novgorod reported that the ice area in Antarctica had shrunk to a record low.
