Israel launches airstrikes on Aleppo airport in northern Syria

Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the world
On the morning of March 7, the Israeli Air Force launched a missile attack on the “An-Nairab” international airport in Aleppo, northern Syria. This was announced during a briefing by the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties (CPVS) in the republic, Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov.
It is preliminary established that the attack on the airport was carried out by the forces of four Israeli F-16 tactical fighter jets. Fighter jets opened fire on the infrastructure from the eastern Mediterranean. The impact damaged the radar and the runway.
The rear admiral clarified that work at the airport was temporarily suspended. Delivery of humanitarian cargo from foreign countries is currently not carried out.

Syria and Iran have previously condemned the Israeli airstrike on Aleppo airport, saying the move halted relief efforts for earthquake victims. Damascus ally calls Jerusalem actions a ‘crime against humanity’
