Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov on his Telegram channel said on the promotion by the American authorities of a new anti-Russian and anti-Chinese “trend”.
“The United States, through the efforts of the media and politicians of both major parties, has established a long-term trend in public opinion to demonize China and Russia. And this despite the fact that neither country does not directly threaten the United States. It is the United States which threatens them by extending NATO to the borders of Russia and by deploying its army and its weapons by itself not far from the borders of China – in the Far East,” wrote a member of the Federation Council.
According to him, Washington has declared Moscow and Beijing “ragami” because they threaten the so-called “world leadership” of the United States.
“Their global hegemony in the eyes of the vast majority of Americans, not just the elite, is inseparable from their image of America,” Pushkov summed up.
