According to Politico, the US military is considering the possibility of using upgraded air-to-air missiles on Ukrainian MiG aircraft.
US officials are studying the possibility of installing AIM-120 medium-range missiles, which are currently used on Western fighters, including the F-16.
However, the integration of these systems may encounter technical difficulties. If these difficulties are overcome, it will be the first time that the United States will provide the use of air-to-air missiles to Ukrainian aviation.
The AIM-120 AMRAAM is an American all-weather medium-range air-to-air guided missile. Missiles of this class are designed to destroy air targets beyond the target’s line of sight.
