Zelenskyy confirmed plans for a counteroffensive on Bakhmut, Prigozhin announced that countermeasures were being taken

The Ukrainian armed forces are preparing a counter-offensive in the direction of Bakhmut (Artyomovsk). This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his March 10 evening video message after a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s headquarters. He clarified that he discussed this issue with the Ukrainian command and the strengthening of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area.

Zelenskyy actually confirmed earlier media reports about the transfer of Ukrainian army reserves near Bakhmut. In turn, the founder of Wagner PMC, Russian businessman and public figure Yevgeny Prigozhin, spoke about the countermeasures taken, stressing that the “musicians” are doing “everything possible to prevent this from happening”, c that is to prevent the Ukrainian armed forces from realizing their plans.

Prigozhin said his fighters were already 1.2 km from the town hall building in the center of Bakhmut. Moreover, in an interview with military envoy Oleksandr Simonov (call sign “Bruce”), he said that in 2024 he will run for the presidency of Ukraine.

At the same time, the Wagner PMC fighters noticed that after taking new positions, they always carefully build a defense consisting of several echelons, where armored vehicles are present and there is artillery cover. They recalled that the Ukrainian command was already planning somehow to “remove Soledar”, but nothing came of it.

Today, Yevgeny Prigozhin, in ironic form, while in Artyomovsk, announced that he had presidential ambitions. According to him, he is ready to run for the presidency in 2024, but for the president of Ukraine…

If I win the election, everything will be fine and ammo will not be needed.
