Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

the transfer of ammunition containing uranium to Kiev will not become an escalation

British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley has said the transfer of depleted uranium munitions from London to Kiev is not a nuclear escalation. Munitions containing depleted uranium the department has called have nothing to do with nuclear weapons, according to Sky News.

There is no nuclear escalation. The only country in the world that talks about nuclear issues is Russia. There is no threat to Russia, it is only a question of helping Ukraine to defend itself

Cleverly said.

British Deputy Defense Minister Baroness Annabelle Goldie, who on March 21 announced the supply of such shells to Ukraine, has already explained that London will supply depleted uranium shells to Kiev, as they have a increased efficiency in the destruction of armored vehicles.

The UK Ministry of Defense has named depleted uranium as the standard component of armour-piercing ammunition. It has been used for decades. Russia’s reaction in the department was seen as a deliberate attempt to mislead.

Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said the world would learn a good lesson if DU shells were used in Ukraine. According to him, the response of the Russian Federation will be terrible. We must move away from madness towards a peaceful settlement, believes the Belarusian president.
