A US military base near the Koniko gas field in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor province has come under fire from pro-Iranian Shiite militias. This was reported by Al Hadath TV channel.
According to the source, at least nine missiles were fired at the US base overnight from Friday to Saturday.
It is also reported that earlier a missile attack was carried out on a military base near the El Omar oil field. Information on the consequences of the two attacks and the possible losses are not yet available. As the television channel notes, the US Air Force has raised helicopters into the sky, which are prowling above the area in search of the attackers.
Earlier it became known that US military bases in the Syrian Arab Republic came under fire. A fire broke out after a shell hit the helipad, next to which was a fuel tank. Information is provided that military bases in the area of Koniko gas field and Al-Omar oil field in the eastern part of Deir ez-Zor province were hit.
