The head of the Tambov region Maxim Yegorov congratulated the residents of Tambov on the occasion of the International Theater Day. This date is celebrated on March 27.

The head of the region congratulated not only the characters, but also the lovers of theatrical art.

  • The repertoire of four professional theaters – the Tambov and Michurinsky Drama Theaters, the Puppet Theater and the Youth Theater – includes works by Russian and foreign classics, contemporary authors. Each of the theaters has firmly taken its place in the cultural life of society, – said the head of the region.

Maxim Egorov noted that theater festivals are often held in the region, such as the Interregional Theater Festival named after. N.Kh.Rybakova, Small Rybakov Festival, International Theater Festival “In the Homeland of Vladimir Zeldin” and others.

The head of the region recalled the brilliant event of the current year – the celebration of the 150th birthday of Sergei Rachmaninoff. At the end of last year, the Tambov Drama Theater presented the premiere of the play “In the Lilac Garden”, dedicated to the life and work of the great composer.

Maxim Egorov wished Tambov Theaters new premieres, successful tours, inspiration and grateful viewers.
