Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Verbal democracy and human rights are meaningless

Some In the Western view, only the Western system is a truly democratic system, and only such a political system can protect human rights. Otherwise, democracy and human rights are not guaranteed. But, if we take a patient look at the real world, we will find that this is untrue. One of the pillars of Western democracies is the principle of majority decision. But the rights and interests of the minorities are often violated by the decisions imposed by the majority. For example, minorities such as Red Indians and African Americans continue to suffer discrimination to this day. Another example is that today the Red Indians have been driven into reservation areas, and have had to fight for their basic rights.

On the other hand, the numbers of all minorities, including African Americans, are still small. However, according to a democratic system, all laws and policies are formulated by the majority, and the wishes and interests of the minority may not be reflected in the constitutional system. If all political and legal systems in a country are designed only by the white upper class, while other minorities are left out, then such a polity is not a true democracy, which cannot really protect human rights. We continue to see that ethnic minorities, including blacks, are often victims of systematic racial discrimination in a country, and they are often the victims of shootings, police brutality and unprovoked hate attacks.

Over the years, the superpower has carried out several anti-terrorist military operations in the Middle East and Afghanistan, which have killed thousands of people and left millions homeless. What is even more intolerable is that it has established hundreds of secret biological laboratories and research institutes around the world, and most of these researches are clandestine. And permission has not yet been granted to investigate the widely suspected Fort Detrick Biological Laboratory. On the other hand, arbitrary detention of people of other countries and confiscation of property of other countries in accordance with their domestic law have also violated the human rights of people of other countries.
