Soccer: Egyptian club Zamalek gets relief in Tunisian Ferjani Sassi case

The International Sports Court issued a ruling in favor of the Egyptian club Zamalek in the case of Tunisian Ferjani Sassi, the current player of Al-Duhail Club, and the former player of the Egyptian team.

According to Egyptian media, the Sports Court canceled the ruling issued by the International Federation of Football Associations “Viva” In favor of Ferjani Sassi, to oblige Zamalek to pay 650,000 euros, other than interest. The court agreed to accept Zamalek’s request to return the dispute to the International Federation of Football “Viva” To discuss Zamalek’s complaint against the player and Al-Duhail Club for Sassi’s termination of his contract unilaterally.

Zamalek had lost the lawsuit against “Viva” Because notes and documents were not submitted on the legal dates during the period of the appointed committees, the International Federation considered that the club did not have any arguments to submit them. Zamalek appealed to the Sports Court and submitted all documents preserving the club’s rights and requested the cancellation of the FIFA,Football,Soccer,Football,Soccer decision issued in favor of the player.

Ferjani Sassi left the White Castle in 2021, and joined Al-Duhail Club in a free transfer deal in the summer transfers of the 2021 season.
