‘Pray’: Trump reacted to Putin’s decision to deploy nuclear weapons

October 4, 2025

Former US President Donald Trump says his country’s citizens should pray after Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s decision to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

“As I predicted, we are now playing with dangerous things. We have caused this situation – this is what happens when incompetent people run your government. All I can say to you now: pray,” said writes the politician on his own social network Truth Social.

On March 25, Vladimir Putin announced that Russia, at the request of Belarus, would deploy ten aircraft capable of carrying tactical nuclear weapons to the country.

The German Foreign Ministry has commented on this message, stressing that Belarus at the international level has repeatedly given the obligation not to place such weapons on its territory.

Later, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, declared that the European Union was ready to impose new sanctions if Russia deployed nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus.
