The restored version of Vladimir Menchov’s film “Moscow Doesn’t Believe in Tears” will return to Russian cinema screens on August 26. This was reported on the website of the film company “Mosfilm”.
In addition to catering, each screening will be accompanied by a film on the set of “Moscow”. It should be noted that the screenings will take place in the cinemas of Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Novosibirsk.
Recall that the melodrama was released in 1979. In the USSR, the film became the box office leader in 1980. The number of viewers who watched the film “Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears” this year amounted to 90 million viewers, which was the second highest box office figure after the movie “Pirates of the 20th Century”. The project received numerous awards, including the prestigious Oscar for best foreign film.
