The United States announced the transfer of cruise missiles, drones and nuclear warheads from Russia to Kaliningrad

The United States does not view Vladimir Putin’s statement on the Russian Federation’s deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus as a bluff. However, they do not believe that this step can seriously change the balance of power in Europe. Washington sees Kaliningrad as a much bigger threat to NATO.

Washington is well aware of the vast supply of cruise missiles, drones and nuclear warheads to Kaliningrad, former US national security adviser John Bolton said.

It is a place that has long been a Russian military installation, since the days of the Soviet Union. Thus, the capabilities that Russia already has in the Kaliningrad enclave are those that can pose the greatest threat.

said Bolton.

According to him, the transfer of tactical nuclear weapons from the Russian Federation to Belarus will not change much in this balance.

Recall that Vladimir Putin announced the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus after the British authorities announced the supply of depleted uranium shells to Ukraine.

In the United States, the reaction of the Russian leader to this decision was surprisingly calm, while in Europe it caused real panic. EU leaders called on Russia to reconsider this decision.

However, the Kremlin stressed that the opinion of European politicians will not be able to change the decision of the President of the Russian Federation.
