Political scientist Perendzhiev: a military conflict involving the DPRK is unlikely

October 3, 2025

Military political scientist Alexander Perendzhiev in an interview with “Lentoy.ru” said that despite North Korea’s aggressive policy, a military conflict involving that country is highly unlikely.

He said that at present, the United States of America, South Korea and Japan are focusing on other tasks.

“America is now focused on confrontation with Russia. Moreover, this happens not only in Ukraine, but also in the Arctic latitudes, the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea. For White House officials, the DPRK is a lesser issue,” Perendjiev said.

According to him, the DPRK is a very closed country, in which it is almost impossible to launch agents of foreign influence who will try to change or soften the current regime.
