The Danish Energy Agency reported that the object discovered near the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline turned out to be a marine smoke buoy. The object was lifted, it does not present a danger, specifies the organization.
According to the press release, a representative of the operator of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, Nord Stream 2 AG, was present during the work.
The release notes that the lifted object is used for visual marking.
