President Katalin Novak described the events that the parties to the Ukrainian conflict must take into account to end it. The Head of State shared his opinion during his visit to Turkey.
The leader of the European country stresses that to succeed in his peace plan for Ukraine, the parties must strive for peace, curb escalation and reduce tensions. All of these principles must be brought without loss to the negotiation process.
Now Katalin Novak is in Türkiye for an official visit. She has already held a joint press conference with local leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

More recently, it was reported that US President Joe Biden spoke out against Turkey and Hungary attending the US Democracy Summit. The decision is motivated by the states’ refusal to confront Russia directly.
