March 31, 2023

The indictment of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, is nothing more than an attempt to interfere in the American leader’s upcoming election. This is how Speaker of the House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy (Republican, from California) reacted to the jury’s decision in New York.
“(New York District Attorney) Alvin Bragg caused irreparable damage to our country by trying to interfere in our presidential election,” he said.
According to a US third party, Bragg, who is leading the proceedings, abused power in an unprecedented way. The lawmaker also promised that the lower house of Congress would hold the New York District Attorney accountable.
Earlier, CNN, citing sources familiar with the matter, reported that the former US president could be charged with more than 30 counts. House Speaker McCarthy Calls Allegations Against Trump Election Interference
