Servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces were found guilty of violating the service order, which led to serious consequences.
Justice officials extended the period of detention of two servicemen of the RF Armed Forces, who by their actions did not prevent the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of the Russian Federation in the Belgorod region in the spring of 2022. According to Kommersant, this led to the death of soldiers and the loss of military equipment.
It is reported that the military court of the St. Petersburg garrison announced the decision to extend the arrest. The defendants in the criminal case are suspected of violating the rules of combat duty (part 2 of article 340 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

One serviceman will have to remain in custody until July 2, the second – until May 5. At the same time, the latter has been in a remand center since last May.

The material of the publication notes that the judges qualified the crime in the second part of this article for the first time in modern history due to the seriousness of its consequences. It is reported: 7 servicemen were killed, 43 people were injured and shocked, 15 were destroyed and 30 pieces of equipment were damaged for a total of 89 million rubles.
