Poland says it is ready to participate more actively in NATO’s nuclear deterrent program

October 3, 2025

Poland has declared its readiness to extend its participation in NATO’s nuclear deterrence programs, without placing nuclear bombs on its territory. This was reported in RT with reference to an interview with Deutsche Presse-Agentur, national security adviser to President Andrzej Duda Jacek Siver.
Jacek Sivera noted that Poland feels safe even in the absence of atomic bombs.
“It’s not about feelings, it’s about calculations. Europe already has a lot of (NATO) nuclear weapons,” he said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow and Minsk had agreed to place tactical weapons on the territory of Belarus, in accordance with obligations under the START treaty.
The Russian Foreign Ministry described the reaction of Western countries to this decision as inadequate. According to Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the department, for many years Moscow has shown restraint in this matter, but now all the decisions have been made and they will be strictly implemented.
China also criticized NATO’s response to Putin’s decision on nuclear weapons. Readers of the Chinese edition of “Guancha” believe that the alliance is simply afraid of the strong. NATO’s reaction only confirms the correctness of Russia’s actions. The message Poland says it is ready to get more involved in NATO’s nuclear deterrent program
