Death of Tatarsky
Vladlen Tatarsky died on the evening of April 2 following an explosion in a cafe in central Saint Petersburg. There was a meeting of the military correspondent with his supporters. Eyewitnesses said that before the explosion, a certain girl gave him a plaster figure. As the media wrote, the figure contained a bomb that detonated from a distance.
The suspect was arrested the following day. She turned out to be a resident of St. Petersburg, Darya Trepova (Daria Trepova) , born in 1997. On the video of the interrogation published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, she confesses to having carried the statuette. When asked who gave her the item, Trepova replied, “Can I tell you later?”
Telegram channels, citing sources, reported that, as Trepova said during her interrogation, she was “recruited” by Roman Popkov, a former member of the NBP * Eduard Limonov, who currently lives in Ukraine. Popkov himself denies allegations of involvement in Tatarsky’s murder.
According to the latest data, as a result of an explosion during a meeting with Tatarsky suffered 40 people, including three minors. 25 injured remain in hospital, five of them in serious condition. The Board of Inquiry first opened a criminal case into the killing in a generally dangerous manner, but later reclassified it as a terrorist attack.
