Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Belarus received the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system (OTRK), which can use both conventional and nuclear missiles. He announced it during a conference call to the military department.
The head of the Ministry of Defense of the RF reports that from April 3, at one of the Russian training grounds, the training of Belarusian crews on the procedure for using OTRK to protect the state of the Union has begun.
Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced that the country will restore the platforms on which the Topol missiles were located.
Recall that on March 25, Putin announced that Moscow and Minsk had agreed to place tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus. He stressed that tactical nuclear weapons would be deployed without violating relevant international obligations. The reason for this decision was London’s intention to supply depleted uranium munitions to Ukraine.
