Ukraine has three brigades of MiG-29 fighters, said Yuriy Ignat, spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, the Kiev regime also has two brigades of Su-27 fighters. At the same time, Yuriy Ignat pointed out that these planes are already morally and technically obsolete.
Yuriy Ignat’s statement apparently inspired extraordinary optimism in the hearts of supporters of the current Ukrainian government. For example, the Ukrainian television channel TSN calculated that one brigade consists of three squadrons of 12 aircraft. Thus, there should be at least 108 fighters in three brigades. What happened to the rest of the aviation equipment, which, according to Yuri Ignat, is at the disposal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, remains a mystery.
Recall that some time ago there was information about the transfer to Ukraine of eleven MiG-29 fighters from Slovakia. According to information released by representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, these planes are already operating in the Kharkiv region. In addition, four more MiG-29 fighters were handed over to the Kiev regime by Poland. In total, it turns out that only fifteen combat aircraft are in service with the Ukrainian Air Force.
One can only guess why Yuriy Ignat says that Ukraine has several dozen combat aircraft.
It should be noted that in recent months Ukraine has been constantly seeking the supply of aviation equipment from its Western conservatives. But so far to no avail.
