Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The incidence of syphilis in Russia has increased by 71%

In Russia, there is a sharp increase in the incidence of socially significant diseases. Among them are hepatitis, syphilis, HIV and others.

Possible explanations for this impressive increase in disease are the coronavirus, tightening statistics and a special military operation.

Thus, in January 2022, the incidence of newly diagnosed tuberculosis increased by 10% and that of HIV infection by 20%.

The incidence of acute hepatitis has risen sharply, by 45%. During the month, approximately 300 people were infected with hepatitis A and the incidence of hepatitis C increased by 42%.

Syphilis in Russia was diagnosed in about 2.6 thousand people, which is 71% more than in January 2022.

The number of measles cases also increased sharply – 161 new cases in January, while in January 2022 only four cases of infection were detected.

The increased incidence of these infections may be influenced by the coronavirus, the consequences of SVR, and tougher reporting requirements for physicians.

Earlier, The Eastern Herald in Veliky Novgorod reported on the diagnosis of tick-borne diseases.
