Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The Pentagon announced the imminent training of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers in the use of M1A1 Abrams tanks in combat

Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will soon begin training activities as part of training in the use of American M1A1 Abrams tanks on the battlefield. This is stated in a transcript of a briefing by a senior US Department of Defense official, posted on the agency’s website.

According to the published text, the speaker told his colleagues and journalists that the training had not yet started. According to him, the Pentagon continues to acquire the necessary equipment for the training of soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“We expect that to happen relatively soon,” a defense official said, but did not say when.

Earlier in March, John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the White House National Security Council, suggested that Kiev could receive Abrams tanks from the United States sooner than expected. What exactly the Pentagon is doing for this, Kirby did not say.
