Construction of a world-class IT campus has begun in Nizhny Novgorod

Construction of the interuniversity computer campus began on Bolshie Ovragi Street in Nizhny Novgorod. The development work of the municipality is in progress, the installation of the fence and the interior roads is finished. Details are provided by the regional government.

Today, 50 workers are engaged in construction, who use 4 units of special equipment. The IT campus project is broken down into 5 stages. First of all, it is planned to build 13 six-story dormitories and 5 four-story dormitories, which will occupy an area of ​​37.4 thousand square meters.

They are expected to accommodate up to 1300 students. The commissioning of the facilities is scheduled for 2024-2025. The contractors are Monotek Stroy LLC.

The total area of ​​​​all objects will be 216.4 thousand square meters. After the completion of all works in the region, there will be accommodation for about 5.5 thousand students in digital professions. 41 billion rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the project.

As part of the second and third stages, it is planned to erect the first and second buildings of hostels on the territory of Lobachevsky UNN. More than 40,000 students will be accommodated there.

In addition, as part of the fourth phase, an educational building with a sports complex and a conference center will be built.

In the fifth stage, an educational building will be erected in front of the subway bridge. It is designed for 5,000 students.
